Influence Network, 14th June 2008
Advanced Skills Teachers have expert knowledge of learning and teaching mathematics; they support the professional development of colleagues. This launch event is to establish a regional network of ASTs who work in primary and secondary schools in the East Midlands. The aim of the Influence Network is to share innovative and creative practice, to provide an opportunity to discuss and share ideas with colleagues. In addition, it will offer a forum for sharing information and training on contemporary issues in mathematics education. A portal community exists for further work by this network, click here to view the community.
An established network exists in the Yorkshire & Humber region.

Collaborative Professional Learning
We want to support teachers in the region who are working together in different ways; learning from each other, planning collaboratively and reflecting on their practice. Ten projects have been awarded funding in this phase, click below to read more.
Christ the King School, Nottinghamshire
Murray Park School, Derby
Frederick Gent School, Derbyshire
George Spencer School & Technology College, Nottinghamshire
Dukeries College, Nottinghamshire
King's School, Lincolnshire
Soar Valley College, Leicester

We want to encourage teachers in Creating Mathematics Networks so that they work together with others in similar schools; with teachers and teaching assistants in their own school; with teachers from a different sector (primary, secondary, FE, HE) or in other ways.
Amber Valley Network
If you have a project that you would like to be considered for some supportive funding then complete our form.

East Midlands Post-16 Networks
Subject coaching network meetings take place every term and are for nominated representatives of post-16 organisations (e.g. colleges, offender learning, adult learning, work based learning, sixth forms). It is hoped that we can increasingly accommodate two representatives from large colleges where there is a real wish to join up collaborative professional learning across the college.
