London Mathematics Centre
The London Mathematics Centre (LMC) is providing the regional coordination for the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics. The LMC is based at the Institute of Education and is playing a key role in drawing together people and organisations involved in strengthening mathematics teaching and learning in London.

Association of London Maths Networks
Through the work of the London Mathematics Centre, subject coach networks, National Strategies etc. there are a number of networks and clusters of teachers working on their mathematics teaching practice. These clusters are working independently. We believe that they would benefit from becoming part (virtually) of a London-wide association of networks of classroom practitioners working to strengthen mathematics practice in schools and colleges.

CAME (Cognitive Acceleration in Mathematics Education)
Take girls who are floundering in maths, subtract the pressure of coming up with an answer, add the fun of working in groups and what do you get? A leap in results. Hannah Frankel reports (TES, 9 February 2007).

Read the article 'Putting fun into the equation'. Find out how Grafton Primary School in Islington, North London worked with the CAME programme over 5 years and learn about the impact of the programme on the pupils' learning.
