Are you a member of a subject association?  A key element of professional development is feeling part of a community, being sustained by it, and contributing to it, and NCETM strongly encourages all teachers of mathematics to join one or more professional subject association for mathematics. Click on the links below to find out more:

AMET (Association of Mathematics Education Teachers)

ATM (Association of Teachers of Mathematics)

MA (Mathematical Association)

NAMA (National Association of Mathematics Advisers)

I've been an MA member for 5 years now, and have served on its Council for the last year. We are very interested in knowing what we, as a subject assosciation , can do for practising teachers.
What do you want from a subject assosciation? Products, services? How much would you be prepared to pay?
