Adult Learners’ Week has successfully engaged with hundreds of thousands of people over the last seventeen years. Since 1992 the campaign has provided the opportunity to highlight that learning is not only good for individual health, self-esteem and employability, but also that it transforms lives.

Adult Learners’ Week encourages adults in all their diversity to give learning a go, whether for pleasure, to catch up on skills missed out at school or job progression.

2009 will celebrate the eighteenth year of Adult Learners’ Week, with events and activities taking place from 9th to 15th May 2009. NIACE (the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education), who coordinate the campaign, are hosting a Adult Learners’ Week Roadshow to give local communities the chance to see what it is all about and to encourage wider participation and more partnership activity.

There are only 50 FREE places available at each half-day roadshow event.
