Mathematics Development Programme for Teachers 08/09
The Universities of Brighton, Liverpool Hope and Wolverhampton are piloting continuing professional development (CPD) courses aimed at mathematics teachers who are not specialists in the subject. The second year of the pilot starts in June/July 2008 and recruitment is now underway.
Initial Teacher Education
Last academic year we spoke to 250 trainee teachers and 30 subject mentors. So far, this year, we have arranged visits to Brighton, Canterbury Christchurch, Oxford, Oxford Brookes, Portsmouth, Southampton and Sussex Universities. If you are a SCITT, a DRB or a HEI who has trainee teachers, please contact us if you would like us to talk to your trainees about the role of NCETM and the ways in which it can support beginning teachers.
