part-part-whole apparatus

I'm sure I saw information about large, y-shaped aparatus for modelling 'part-part-whole' structures.  But I can't remembe where and I can't find them.

Can anyone help?

Try putting a search into Pintrest.  There are lots of ideas on there.  I think the one you are thinking of is made of piping (the sort used in household pumbing).
