Same Day Intervention

MattDoody 08 January 2020 11:08

We are a two form entry school who are keen to explore embedding same day intervention into our timetable.

Are there any of you who are in 2+ form entry schools and manage to do this sucessfully?

If so please could you reply with how you structure this.

In an ideal world I would like adopt a split lesson approach and maths to take place each morning between 9:00-9:40. Then the children have an assembly whilst teachers look at which children require support and who can move to deeper problems. The maths lesson would then continue for a further 20/30 minutes after assembly.

Our main sticking point is how to manage where the children are during the time teachers are marking and setting up the follow up activity - assemblies / early playtime etc.

Thanks for your support.
