I work at the Royal Institution and help run a National Programme of Masterclasses for students in mathematics, engineering and computer science. We are keen to get more schools involved in the programme and I thought I'd share some details about the programme and our accompanying resources here.
We invite teachers to nominate students to attend a series of workshops to broaden their learning of the subject and explore ideas outside the national curriculum. The interactive workshops are led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers from education, academia and industry. Ri Masterclasses are offered nationally at primary and secondary levels, free of charge.
Teachers can get involved by nominating students or by helping us to deliver these worshops as helpers and speakers or even setting up a new Masterclass series in their area.
The Masterclas team have also developed a number of 'Off-the-Shelf' resources designed for use in the Masterclasses but these may also be of interest to STEM clubs. These Masterclass resources give students the opportunity to explore mathematics outside of the National Curriculum: https://www.rigb.org/education/masterclasses/masterclass-resources
