Mastery Professional Development Sequence

Please could I ask about the teaching sequence, and in particular fractions. The sequence of fractions is different to the coverage outlined in the National Curriculum, and I understand there is reason linked to pedagogy for this however could I ask if teachers are teaching to the sequence as stated in NCETM or adapting the sequence to fit in line with with National Curriculum due year group coverage expectations or due to summative assessment for example? Any thoughts would be welcomed.
