Hi,
Maybe a post in the 'Secondary Forum' would be best - and browsing through that forum! Browse through the blogs too.
You could look through recent issues of the secondary magazine, get up-to-date on Functional Skills, the new GCSEs, look at the self-evaluation tools to get a feel for what has changed since you were at school.
Good luck with your interview!

Hi Nim -

You could look at Secondary_Watch's blog, which aims to cover some of the current issues. We'd also recommend that you post about this in the Secondary Forum. Good luck!

I am repeating the second year of my PGCE in LLS with Numeracy as a specialism and need a mentor for my PDR2.  Does anyone have a bit of spare time?  It would involve 1 or 2 observations for which you would be reimbursed and 3 or 4 sit down chats about any critical issues I have experienced.  These would be written up as a reflective report including a Mentoring lens.

If anyone is available it would really be a great help.  It is expected that this would take place over January to May 2012.

Sincerely

Jonathan Harrison

It's Post-compulsory but a practicing secondary teacher would be suitable Peter.
