Decided that i had better check and yes they are on the standards site website already. The direct way to them is to follow the link

Having just looked back through the notes again, I noticed that you teach in primary so the APP materials as they stand may not be appropriate although the ideas and the principles can certainly be applied in primary.

If you do use/adapt either resource it would be great to hear how they went

They are really useful for primary - thank you

As Level 4 is for Y7 and Level 5 is for Y8  they are suitable for higher ability children in Year 4 and certainly useful for Year 5 and 6 teachers.

Thanks for those pointers, I will start using the Strategy progression maps and http://www.kangaroomaths.com/free_resources/ks3/index.html.   I have spent some time looking at them and am looking forward to using them.

Hi residentblogger

I teach in KS2 but find the strategy progression maps great - which I was introduced to in this forum.

I did not know that these resources existed and they show that a good framework for individual progress can be created in an accessible way.

I have been asked by a post-16 manager whether mathematicians can engage in the use of Individual Learning Plans. Does anyone have a system that engages at the level of mathematical target setting and is neither too detailed and onerous nor too superficial?

I gather APP is coming out for Primary schools early next year,

...maybe the following year the tasks will also go beyond level 6 - that would be nice
