I've just been through the (newish) research from NRDC about effective teaching and learning in numeracy. I thought this made a most interesting read. In particular, I liked section 6 about teachers' practices, and on the importance of questioning learners. Has anyone else been through this report? If so, what are your views on the section about teachers' practices? What lessons can we learn for teaching mathematics across f.e.? (Or h.e. for that matter).
