PGCE Primary with Mathematics specialism


NCETM CPD Standard

This course aims to support you in gaining a PGCE Primary and achieving the standards to be a Qualified Teacher, with a focus on primary mathematics.

The course will enable you to be a generalist primary class teacher but will also prepare you for a future role as a specialist teacher of primary mathematics, who leads mathematics across the school. You will study primary mathematics in depth, exploring the most effective ways of teaching mathematical ideas. You will also gain a strong understanding and experience of teaching other subjects.

Qualifications Offered:

Postgraduate Certificate in Education or Professional Certificate in Education, with 60 Level 7 or level 6 credits on successful completion of the programme.
