Course summary: In working with a large number of EYs professionals in settings it is apparent that there is not always a shared understanding of mathematics in the EYs between the leadership team and the EYs professionals. This course is designed for the mathematics subject leader or member of the senior leadership team in primary schools to join the EYFS leader in their school to ensure a shared understanding about effective practice in mathematics in the Early Years. The day will provide colleagues with the opportunity to ensure that maths in the EYs is effectively lead and managed in such a way that appropriate EYs pedagogy and practice is understood, supported and promoted with the school.
