Course Aims:
Course summary: During this course participants will have an opportunity to explore different ways of incorporating problem solving into every day maths lessons in the context of the National Curriculum. We explore what problem solving involves and how using problems contributes to learning. In the afternoon, teachers will develop examples of how to use word problems as starting points for mathematical learning.
