NCETM Secondary Teaching for Mastery ITE conferences

Our London teaching for mastery conference for tutors in secondary teacher training is filling up very quickly! So we have put on another date – this time in Birmingham. The two dates are:

Those involved in secondary Initial Teacher Education (ITE) are invited to come and find out more about teaching for mastery – the pedagogy, and how Maths Hubs projects are supporting secondary schools to introduce the approach.

The conferences will explore how mastery approaches are being developed in secondary school maths departments and share materials. ITE tutors will hear from teachers involved in mastery projects, consider ways to engage student teachers in mastery approaches and have the opportunity to share practice and ideas.

The conferences, focused on this critical stage in a teacher’s development, strengthen the relationship between the NCETM and the ITE community, for the benefit of trainee teachers and the pupils they’ll be teaching.

They are free to attend, and you can find out more and book your place by clicking the date/venue links above. A flyer is also available to download.
