Taking the Numeracy Challenge Forward

Taking the Numeracy Challenge Forward

Welcome to the NCETM Numeracy Challenge microsite, which was developed as part of a major project in 2007-2008 focusing on adult numeracy.

As part of the Numeracy Challenge project, a guidance booklet about numeracy in the workplace was produced.  Written to support Train to Gain brokers and others involved in Train to Gain provision, the guide brings together and summarises the information and support available to help establish successful Train to Gain programmes. It looks at: the need for numeracy in the workplace; delivery approaches to that work; useful resources to support this work; sources of further information.  (Please note, this document is large and could take a few minutes to download.)
Up to the Minute Data
Looking for a source of real ‘up to the minute’ data to use with your learners – or just wanting to know what the weather is like now?
Family Learning and Family Financial Capability
Family Learning refers to learning approaches that engage parents or carers and children jointly in learning. The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) fund two areas of work: Family Literacy, Language and Numeracy (FLLN) programmes which aim to raise literacy, language and numeracy skills within families; and, Wider Family Learning (WFL) which aims to bring families together in a learning experience for a wide range of outcomes

Thank you for making a section of the NCETM for people like me who teach numeracy. I love the Advent Calendar and just wish I had known about it at the start of December.

Will the things on this page change and if so how frequently?
