The event took place over Monday evening at the Grand Hotel Brighton, and Tuesday daytime at the University of Sussex Conference Centre.

Themes explored during the Seminar
  • Collaboration between HEIs, LAs and schools
    How can collaboration work? Do we have any sense of how long it takes to get going? What is in it for each partner?
  • Designing CPD
    What do we know about effective mathematics teacher development?
  • Mathematics at different levels for teachers
    How do teachers’ dispositions towards mathematics shape their teaching? How is this connected to the level of mathematics they are teaching?
  • Mathematics for teachers at different levels
    Can primary and secondary teachers work together on mathematics? How does career stage shape the design of CPD?
  • Opportunities and sponsors
    What funding opportunities are available to support collaborative projects in the region?
