Primary and Early Years National Strategy - Learning Objectives

 

The National Strategy learning objectives for mathematics are organised by year groups and by seven mathematical strands. You can read general information about the learning objectives and then select specific objectives by year group and strand.

Here are some suggested resources for each mathematics strand - note that the number and calculating strands (strands 2, 3 and 4) have been combined.

Note: Lancashire Grid for Learning now charges £100 per year for SOME of their materials

Handling Data

The monthly NCETM Primary online magazine hosts a Maths to Share feature, aimed at supporting the development of teachers' subject knowledge and pedagogy across the mathematics curriculum. A valuable place to start for ideas and inspiration.
