Mathematical Pedagogy

High quality, effective mathematics teaching is more than knowing the 'hard maths'.  The pedagogy or the 'art of teaching maths' is equally important.  There are many strands to effective pedagogy, some of which have been highlighted below with links to supportive resources.

NCETM has developed a microsite, Excellence in Mathematics Leadership (EiML). The materials are aimed at new or aspiring mathematics subject leaders, and cover all aspects of mathematics in school.
