I think that this sector of resources is quite poor. In our College we have approximately 500 undertaking Functional skills maths across all levels. Having access to ready made resources is invaluable in order to try something new and develop your own resources. I appreciate that there are a large number of students who will re-take their GCSE in maths at an FE college, but there are many more students who for varying reasons have not met the criteria to do that, and therefore need to study Functional skills. It is vital that we engage these students who feel they are failures at maths.
