Developing children's reasoning and communication skills using cameras, visualisers and flip videos

A staff development workshop on using digital technologies for a group of teachers

This workshop aimed to enable delegates to:

  • explore the use of digital cameras, visualisers and flip videos in the Primary classroom to promote children’s mathematical learning
  • increase understanding of and confidence in using these tools
  • to support children’s mathematical understanding Visualiser, digital camera, flip video and tutor resources – set of problem-stimulating photos, estimation photos and measuring activity.

The session showed how teachers have used digital cameras, visualisers and flip videos to promote children’s reasoning and communication.
