Using the IWB in secondary mathematics

A staff development workshop on using digital technologies for a group of teachers

The details here provide material for at least two one and a half hour workshops. Within these delegates were shown how to use and make, IWB files and pages that make use of virtual manipulatives; population pyramids; fraction walls; reasoning puzzles; locus and distance-time graph examples. For some it included use of hide/show ‘buttons’ embedded flash files and ‘restrictors’.

This session built on the two other IWB sessions: Video recording made simple’ and ‘IWB Progression: Promethean and Smart’.

This workshop aims to enable delegates to:

  • ways;
  • extend skills base of delegates;
  • provide time for delegates to practice IWB skills.
