Created on 14 October 2013 by ncetm_administrator
Updated on 10 March 2014 by ncetm_administrator

This article describes what ‘LTHC’ tasks are, and why they are considered good practice for the Primary Maths classroom.

This article explores the value of using problems as a way of challenging children's mathematical pre-conceptions and explores their potential for extending their knowledge and understanding. It explores some non-standard problems taken from the NRICH website www.nrich.maths.org and considers children's responses to them.
