Starting to teach GCSE (post-MEP)

It would be beneficial if participants had previously completed the MEP course, it is not however essential.

Algebra

This workshop aims to support participants to

  • Develop their knowledge and understanding of algebra at GCSE
  • Develop their approaches to teaching algebra to learners in a post-16 setting
  • Think about the issues surrounding embedding algebra within a vocational area.

Geometry

This workshop aims to support participants to

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of geometry at GCSE
  • Develop their approaches to teaching geometry to learners in a post-16 setting
  • Think about the issues surrounding embedding geometry within a vocational area.

Trigonometry

This workshop aims to support participants to

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of triangles and trigonometry at GCSE
  • Develop their approaches to teaching trigonometry to learners in a post-16 setting
  • Understand the real-world applications of trigonometry
