Website of the week
With so many excellent sites available offering a wide range of activities and development materials, it is sometimes difficult to know which ones really are worth a visit. Each week we will feature one recommendation, and invite your comments too.
This website has been recommended by a reader who has drawn particular attention to the use of video recording in the classroom.

Rob Simpson (the creator of the website) has examples of situations where he has found it useful to video, for example, using different types of calculators to perform a standard form calculation. By using a video camera linked directly to a projector, he demonstrates to the students by zooming in and out, shots of the different calculators and how to use them correctly.

Other great features include using podcasts for revision and interactive Excel spreadsheets available to use in the classroom.

Do you have a website that you would like to recommend? Please e-mail it to info@ncetm.org.uk.
