Website of the week
With so many excellent sites available offering a wide range of activities and development materials, it is sometimes difficult to know which ones really are worth a visit. Each week we will feature one recommendation, and invite your comments too.

This week’s website of the week comes highly recommended from a reader who has been searching for the famous Abbot and Costello Maths Problem but couldn’t find it.

The website states “Our goal at TeacherTube.com is to provide an online community for sharing instructional teacher videos.”

TeacherTube was officially launched on March 6, 2007.  The aim of the site is to provide an online community for sharing instructional videos. It also seeks to fill a need for a more educationally focused, safe venue for teachers, schools, and home learners. It is intended to provide anytime, anywhere professional development with teachers teaching teachers. As well, it is a site where teachers can post videos designed for students to view in order to learn a concept or skill.

Hopefully, this site will continue to be utilised in manner it was designed and it will not be blocked by local authorities like YouTube has been in many cases.

Do you have a website that you would like to recommend? Please e-mail it to info@ncetm.org.uk.
