Our latest Numberblocks support materials are out now

  • Published: 04/02/2019

Numberblocks is a pre-school BBC television series, aimed at introducing children to early number. Over the last few months we’ve been publishing sets of support materials and they have been very popular.

Our materials aim to help Early Years and Year 1 practitioners introduce concepts of number, to support early mathematical development.

We're delighted that the materials for Episodes 11–15 of Series 2 are now ready for you to use. There are more lively animated adventures in Numberland. The Numberblocks encounter new friends called fluffies, go to the moon and explore Numberblock Castle.

What other Early Years support do we offer?

The Numberblocks materials form part of our support for Early Years and Year 1 teachers.

Our Early Years pages are designed to support Reception teachers, and those who work in other pre-school settings. The pages are organised into six key areas and provide the firm foundations for the maths that children will encounter as they go through primary school.

You can also explore these areas in a special Early Years podcast with Dr Sue Gifford and Viv Lloyd.
