Secondary ITE tutors’ conferences now booking
  • Published: 08/10/2019

Booking is now open for our secondary ITE tutor conferences. The conferences explore approaches to teaching secondary mathematics for mastery. They are aimed at secondary ITE providers who were not able to attend the 2018/19 conferences, and will provide an opportunity for participants to:

  • Discuss and critically evaluate teaching for mastery approaches being developed at secondary level across the Maths Hubs Network
  • Evaluate materials and consider ways to engage student teachers in these approaches
  • Share own practice and ideas
  • Inform future NCETM developments.

The two dates are:

Those involved in secondary Initial Teacher Education (ITE) are invited to come and find out more about teaching for mastery – the pedagogy, and how Maths Hubs projects are supporting secondary schools to introduce the approach.

The conferences will explore how mastery approaches are being developed in secondary school maths departments and share materials. ITE tutors will hear from teachers involved in mastery projects, consider ways to engage student teachers in mastery approaches and have the opportunity to share practice and ideas.

They are free to attend, and you can find out more and book your place by clicking the date/venue links above. A flyer is also available to download.
